According to the Tequila Standard (NOM-006-SCFI-2012), each container must bear a clearly legible label that includes the following information in Spanish. This information must be accurate and must not mislead the consumer about the nature and characteristics of Tequila: a) The term "Tequila"; b) The category and class to which it belongs, in accordance with Chapter 5 of the regulations; c) For tequilas mentioned in section 6.1.1.1.1 of the regulations, the name of the flavor or aromas added or that which predominates in the product must be indicated.
